A Little Something to Toast To!
This weekend, Chloe’s mom stopped by the Barkery looking for something special, and our conversation brought a little excitement back to an idea I’ve been holding onto.
Some time ago, I started working on a celebration drink just for dogs. I gathered everything I needed, made a test batch, and loved how it turned out. The idea was there, waiting for its moment.
Well, thanks to Chloe’s mom, I think that moment has arrived!
We’re always in celebration season at Bentley’s. Barkdays, Gotcha Days, holidays, and everything in between. But this time of year, the celebrations get a little bigger, the tables get a little fuller, and our two-legged pawents get to join in the festivities.
So naturally, I started thinking about the toast.
Something to Raise a Glass To!
I’m excited to share what’s coming to the Barkery: Bentley’s Pup Cuvée!
A special, dog-friendly celebration drink for the pups who have a standing invitation to every occasion.
We’re starting with two varieties: Cuvée Rosé and Brut, presented in darling little 187 mL bottles.
Picture a Barkday cake surrounded by decorations, a holiday table set for family and friends, or a New Year’s celebration with your pup right beside you.
Now everyone has something to toast with!
I’ve always loved the little details that make celebrations memorable. A beautifully decorated cake, a thoughtful surprise, something unexpected that makes everyone smile.
Pup Cuvée feels right at home among those details.
We’re putting the finishing touches on it, and I can’t wait to share more as it comes together.

Wednesday: Beyond the Leash
This Wednesday, we’re heading back Beyond the Leash, where we explore the surprising places dogs turn up in our culture and the stories behind them.
Our first essay, “Man’s Best Friend. A Politician’s Best Image?”, explored the relationship between dogs, political imagery, and the impressions we form about the people who want to lead us.
From presidential pets to campaign photographs, it was a fascinating look at how something as familiar as a dog can shape the way we see the world.
This week, we’ll continue looking beyond the everyday moments we share with dogs to discover another connection worth exploring.
